Ibiza, escalada deportiva

Ibiza retains the label of hippie island, since it was at the center of this movement in Spain in the seventies. Today it continues with the image of paradise on earth, mixed with nightlife and big parties until dawn. An image that prevails in summer, in high season, which radically changes the rest of the year, coinciding with the best time to climb. Climbing landed on the island in 1989 and, since then, the panorama has changed greatly: existing climbing areas have been improved and new ones have been created, in a continuous search to find the best walls. The result can be seen in this guide, which includes the twelve equipped crags that are scattered around the island. Almost 400 routes equipped on pure limestone walls (from gray to whitish) with multi-pitch, short, technical routes and a wide range of difficulties suitable for every type of climber.
