We have chosen to offer you a selection of 134 steep skiing and classic ski mountaineering itineraries, where the dominant motifs are exploration and novelty, they are in fact all little known and frequented and almost all new. In addition to these you will find various chain proposals and numerous variations that help you get to know and love these small and wonderful mountains straddling the two seas. There is no shortage of challenging itineraries and some are of notable, if not absolute, technical value. The first part of the guide is dedicated to snow meteorology and focuses on the Apennine climate yet to be discovered, which is as particular as its mountains, capable of holding surprises for those who don't know it or underestimate it. The book aims to be an incentive to retrace, devise and try new solutions: there will always be room for imagination and creativity. The routes in this second volume belong to the southernmost sectors of the Central Apennines, located more or less south of the Aterno-Pescara river. Specifically, 21 itineraries are described on the Sirente chain, 43 on the great Majella massif, 16 on Morrone-Rotella and Pizzalto, 38 on the complex mountains surrounding Lake Scanno and Pescasseroli, namely the Marsican Mountains (National Park of Abruzzo-Lazio-Molise) and the long Greco and Terratta chain, 11 itineraries on the wild chain of the Meta and Mainarde group, finally 5 on the southernmost massif of the Central Apennines, namely the Matese.
