The underlying theme of this publication is cross-country skiing, from day trips to big raids. The guide offers a complex and varied proposal that knows no geographical and administrative boundaries. The Bergamo and Valtellina Orobie make up the lion's share, without forgetting the Brescia and Lecco portions. The guide will accompany you to discover the Orobie Alps proper, up to its highest peaks and the 3050 meters of Pizzo Coca, as well as the Bergamo Prealps with the Dolomite massifs of Grigne, Arera, Presolana up to Concarena. It will be an adventurous journey in a complex geography, nestled between Valtellina and the plain, between Lake Como and Val Camonica. Although it is an ideal environment for ski mountaineering raids, there are only six complete crossings, carried out along different routes, from 1971 to 2019. Entire areas are still little frequented by ski mountaineers today, whose numerous presence is concentrated on the classic routes and with go out during the day.
