Rock climbing in Romania

This is the complete guide to the rock climbing area around the city of Brosov, in central Romania. All the crags are located in the areas of Tampa, Pietrele lui Solomon, Cheile Rasnoavei, Postavaru, Bucegi, Valea Chiva, Prapastia Ursului, Tamina, Crangul Ciorii, Magura, Prapastiile Zarnestilor, Costila, Piranha, Poiana Stanii, Valea Pelesului, Sfanta Ana. The guide covers 17 major rock climbing areas, with nearly 700 sport climbing routes and 40 alpine routes of all grades. For each climbing area there is a good location map, GPS coordinates and a description that gives a general overview of the area. Additional information includes: graphic symbols for route character, steepness and beauty, quality of bolting (which is generally very good), best time of year to climb at the crag, walking time to reach the crag from the machine and the minimum rope length required.
