Molti friends e alcuni nuts

Friends and nuts are objects familiar to mountaineers, means of protection and insurance when climbing. But friends are also, obviously, the friends with whom you go to the mountains, and when you go to the mountains you meet crazy types, a little crazy, nuts. Between friends and nuts, jumping between various narrative registers, this journey through time unfolds, marked by writings inspired by half a century of mountaineering. There's a bit of everything in this jumble: stories, descriptions of places, portraits of people, historical essays, book reviews. There are interventions requested and texts written just for the pleasure of doing it, irreverent mockery and serious reflections - at least in intention. This set of writings is not an attempt to construct a sort of mountaineering autobiography; rather, a heterogeneous collection of the glances directed, over the course of half a century, towards the various faces of the mountaineering world and its transformations, by one of its regular visitors.
