The Rif Mountains in northern Morocco are a land of adventure where you can enjoy wild nature in its purest form and knowledge of an exotic culture, all within a two-hour drive of Tangier or Ceuta. Within this area we find the area of the Talassemtane National Park, where excursions and tours proposed in this guide are developed. This extraordinary natural site also offers the possibility of practicing other activities such as climbing, canyoning, speleology, and visiting the largest city in the Chefchaouen area -La Cité Azul-. In this guide we will propose 19 walking itineraries, both circular and linear, for all types of hikers. From an easy walk along the villages of the valley, you reach the highest peaks in the area such as Jbel Kelaa (1,616 m), Jbel sfiha Telj (2,038 m) or Jbel Tissouka (2,100 m). All itineraries are described in detail and illustrated with a relative topographic map and profile, with all the technical data for route planning and practical information to make your trip easier. Furthermore, if you have a GPS, it is possible to download the file of each itinerary so you can continue on the road more safely.
