La Via Silente in bicicletta

A circular cycling route in 15 stages (for a total of 600 km) to discover Cilento and Vallo di Diano, a treasure chest of stories, suggestions, legends, ancient knowledge, archaeological areas, karst cavities and breathtaking coasts. Cilento is a historical region between the Sele plain to the north, the Bussento river to the south, the Vallo di Diano to the east and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west, developed in the province of Salerno. We pass from the renowned coasts (Capo Palinuro, Marina di Camerota, Acciaroli) to villages and towns perched on the rocks (Castelnuovo Cilento, Castellabate, Postiglione, Teggiano, Padula), from beech forests and centuries-old olive groves to naturalistic oases, from UNESCO heritage monuments such as the Certosa di Padula to ancient Christian settlements such as the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, from the geoarchaeological area of Elea/Velia to that of Paestum, up to the karst cavities of Monte Cervati.
