La cicloVia della seta

The main purpose of this volume is to illustrate a coherent cycle route between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian Sea, based on a single historical itinerary: the Silk Road. If you ideally connect Venice and Lucca, fundamental centers of silk production in Italy since the 14th century, the straight line traced passes Rovigo, crosses Ferrara and Bologna; continuing it passes Pisa and reaches the sea in Tirrenia, now close to Livorno. This is the route that we present here, in an itinerary that takes into account the most interesting cities to visit - even if this involves detours -, the needs for refreshment and an orographic aspect that can appeal to the widest possible audience. A unique guide to tourism that is already widespread in Europe and is rapidly developing in our country.
