The Apulian Aqueduct Cycle Route is an extraordinary itinerary, between history and nature, in southern internal Italy. The route winds through Campania, Basilicata and Puglia, along the historical traces of the largest aqueduct in Europe. You cycle "on water" for 500 kilometres, from Irpinia to Salento, passing through the Vulture, the Alta Murgia and the Itria Valley, through a route that brings together the charm of the places with the work of man , producing beauty. We follow the historical conduct of the Apulian Aqueduct, built between 1906 and 1939, a magnificent work of valuable industrial archaeology. Pedaling on secondary roads and dirt paths, a perfect gravel itinerary, you pass through perched villages and enchanting cities of the South but also extraordinary natural environments. From Caposele to Santa Maria di Leuca is a succession of emotions, divided into nine stages, which culminate in the triumphal arrival in front of the Monumental Waterfall, in the heart of the Mediterranean.
