We are on the border between the Maritime Alps and the Cottian Alps, which face each other on the two sides of the Stura di Demonte Valley, giving rise to very different landscapes: on one side, dark crystalline rocks, deep valleys, lakes and snowfields; on the other, dolomitic and sunny walls, pasture plateaus, karst basins. The guide describes 132 itineraries, including: the access paths to refuges and bivouacs, the GTA and Via Alpina routes, the long route of Lou Viage, the very panoramic Curnis Auta, the Teníbres tour, many other crossings from refuge to refuge, excursions to lakes, villages and panoramic points, as well as the easiest routes up to the peaks.
