Across the Eastern Alps: E5

From Lake Constance in Germany, the E5 trek runs 600km through a kaleidoscope of remarkable landscapes and culture in Switzerland, Austria and Italy, finishing in Verona. It crosses the Allgauer, Lechtaler and Ötztaler Alps. It is a trek with a good network of alpine refuges and guesthouses and requires more than 30 days. The recommended period is from the end of June to the end of September. The closest centers are Bolzano, Verona, Oberstdorf, Sölden, Moos, Levico Terme. Fix more than 30 days. Spectacular geological sites and remnants of the First World War, various traditional mountain cultures, magnificent alpine and glacial landscape.
