Innsbruck, thanks to its location in the heart of the Alps, is often cited as the capital of this mountain range. Mountaineers here are an element of everyday life: skiers walking around the city center with their ski mountaineering equipment are just as frequent as bikers with mountaineering backpacks. Innsbruck is also known to have a long tradition of sport climbing, with top athletes from all over the world and local enthusiasts establishing new routes. The last complete climbing guide to this region is legendary, created by Otti Wiedmann and last published in 2003, this work aims to take up his legacy. Innsbruck Rock therefore presents the famous and historic climbing gyms of the Tyrolean capital, reveals to the general public the latest creations hitherto reserved for a few and above all extends the area analyzed to the entire surrounding mountain region, which until now did not have a dedicated guide.
