There are different ways of approaching cycling, but what unites them all is the passion for a sport that is as tiring as it is full of satisfaction. Cycling is the passion that has always accompanied Mattia Barlocco. A spectator together with his father at every Milan-Sanremo, every Giro d'Italia, Championship and Tour de France, he started cycling at the age of 8; from there the idols in the pink jersey, the first love for a yellow Daccordi, the training sessions and the races. Yet, cycling is a love characterized by ups and downs, mainly due to quite a few injuries. But nothing can do against such a strong passion. In the summer of 2019 Mattia decides to jump on the saddle and face the Alps in a real Classic Crossing: from Trieste to Nice, to end in Bormida, Liguria, at home. 35 Alpine passes, more than 2000 km and 40,000 meters of altitude difference in just 13 days, an experience that finds the right balance to involve both enthusiasts, dedicating them specific tips on how to tackle a journey on two wheels, both for those who haven't been on a bicycle for years. A solo journey that becomes a way to confront oneself and bring together the passion for sport and the mountains, the frenzy of constant movement with the peace that nature inspires, in the demonstration that everyone has the possibility and the right to take time for themselves, to try to focus on what really makes their essence vibrate.
