After an intense career in the United States, in 1978 Professor Mario Salvadori returned to his homeland with his American wife to show her the Italy of his youth: Rome, Florence, Venice, Cortina. Here, as in a long, enchanting flashback, six Dolomite summers from half a century earlier are relived.
