Sixth edition. The Cammino dei Borghi Silenti is an 86 km long 'ring' route that winds along the northern slopes of the Amerini Mountains, in Umbria. The journey is divided into four stages lasting as many days and passes through uncontaminated places and still intact medieval villages: the characteristic that distinguishes it is the charm of silence, which from the holm oak and chestnut woods, up to the ancient walls of the small villages, seems embrace and understand everything. The walker who knows how to listen to the silence that surrounds him will be able to make a journey out of time and space, as in a sort of time machine: he travels with good legs but above all with a big heart! The route is located in the south-western part of Umbria, in one of the most fascinating and least known places in the region, far from the large crowded tourist destinations. The project intends to promote and make known places of certain charm through the efforts of the ancient paths, giving the possibility of being able to travel its ring also to mountain bike lovers. Also accessible with your 4-legged friend. Scoppieto, Acqualoreto, Morre, Melezzole, Toscolano, Tenuta dei Ciclamini, Cocciano, Guardea, Tenaglie, Montecchio, Baschi, Cerreto.
