This is the official story, written by the journalist Dominik Szczepanski in collaboration with his partner Anu Solska, of the Polish mountaineer Tomek Mackiewicz, who died during the descent from the summit of Nanga Parbat conquered in winter together with the French Elisabeth Revol in January 2018. A route which was recently defined, by the prestigious American magazine Rock&Ice, as the first true winter climb in alpine style on an 8,000 metre.
