Ciclovia Alpe Adria - ESTERBAUER

402 km from Salzburg to the Adriatic along the Alpe Adria Cycle Route, with route description and 1:50,000 scale maps. This route largely follows designated cycle paths, particularly in the Salzach and Gastein valleys and along the Möll, Drava and Gail rivers. The Tarvisio cycle path begins in Arnoldstein, which beyond the Italian border follows an old disused railway line: it is an excellent asphalted cycle path, with two lanes and well signposted. There are still short unpaved stretches, which are becoming increasingly smaller as the work progresses. From Moggio Udinese the cycle route largely follows secondary roads or country roads, but also stretches of cycle paths such as in the area before Udine, and beyond Palmanova on the Via Julia Augusta to Grado. In the Cormor valley, before Udine, there is a variant that can only be traveled by mountain bike and marked by signs for the ln@natura route. Salzburg, St.Johann, Spittal, Villach, Udine, Lignano.
