The Tour du Mont Rose is a 10-stage circular trek around the Monte Rosa and Mischabel massifs, in the Pennine Alps. It crosses three slopes, Valais, Valtournenche and Valsesia, partly following paths traveled by the Walser populations in their movements between one valley and another. Usually the trek starts from Zermatt (in Valais) and is carried out counterclockwise, but it can also start from Saas Fee, on the Swiss side, from Staffal in Valle d'Aosta, or from Macugnaga in Piedmont. The guide contains photographs and technical data of the 10 stages of the Tour with the contact details of all the accommodation facilities, together with a 1:50,000 scale map with kilometer grid printed on an ecological, waterproof and resistant support.
