Apuane in Fiore - Luci e Colori

With this work we have thus attempted to portray, following a long ideal path, some of the most important botanical endemics of the area, significant plants, rare species or, more simply, specimens that have struck us with their lights and colours, attempting to establish their salient aspects, depicting them in their typical landscape and natural context. There was certainly no ambition to set a point of reference in the panorama of art photography nor to provide elements of inspiration for the universe of scientific research. Much more modestly, its desirable objective is to share with those who want to browse our pages the emotions felt in the presence of forms of life that are as ephemeral as they are surprising. In fact, it is the images that will have to speak on behalf of the author: the entire structure of this volume focuses on them, a collection of some of the countless shots that represent the fruit of many years of research conducted humbly following the footsteps of illustrious botanists. Some notations will accompany the photographic representations, so as to substantiate a brief profile of all the plants treated.
