An impressive work, a true dream book for lovers of summit climbs: 249 itineraries chosen from the most beautiful and imposing peaks of 43 mountain groups, divided into two volumes. The second volume, dedicated to the eastern valleys, offers 116 climbs chosen from the 24 mountain groups east of the Adige valley: Levante Breonie, Aurine Alps, Predoi Mountains, Fundres Mountains, Vedrette di Ries, Casies Mountains, Gruppo of the Odle-Puez, Fanes-Senes-Braies Group, Sesto Dolomites, Catinaccio Group, Sella-Sassolungo Group, Latemar Group, Marmolada Group, Cima Bocche Chain, Lagorai Chain, Cima d'Asta Group , Pale di San Martino, Feltrine Alps, Schiara Group, Cima Dodici chain, Small Dolomites, Grappa Massif, Col Nudo-Cavallo Group, Lessini Mountains. The proposed routes are selected for their panoramic views and difficulty: there are no itineraries with mountaineering difficulty above level II, but not all climbs are hiking: some require knowledge of progression on the glacier, the use of a set via ferrata, the ability to move by supporting your hands. Finally, there are proposals for almost all seasons: in both volumes we find itineraries of the actual Alpine arc with high altitudes and ice, to be followed in the height of summer, and itineraries on mountain groups closer to the Po Valley, therefore practicable up to late autumn or winters with little rainfall.
