Yosemite is an American national park located in California which contains some of the most beautiful and largest granite walls in the world. The most important of these walls is called El Capitan and the climb to the "Tempest" route documented in the film takes place on it. Valerio defines these walls as so perfect that they seem almost unreal; Made specifically to be climbed. Watching this film is like living in Valerio's head; you will understand what he thought, you will see what he saw and dreamed and you will feel the same emotions. You will also understand how he sees and interprets this particular world of wild nature and extreme artificial climbing. This film is at the same time a slice of life of modern Big-Walls climbers. You will see how they survive for more than ten days on the wall, and you will see what they do in the evening when, exhausted from the effort, they hang on the pegs of the belay to prepare to sleep. You will see how they make progress hanging from tiny pieces of metal spread on the rock and you will experience their same fear of falling.
