Incisioni rupestri e megalitismo in Liguria

In recent years, prehistoric art and megalithism have been the subject of interest and analysis by numerous enthusiasts and scholars. Liguria is one of the Italian regions richest in these important events. The authors, specialist scholars of the subject, with this work intended to propose, in organic terms, the results of years of cultural anthropology investigations, study of oral and written traditions, research, survey, analysis and study of prehistoric, protohistoric petroglyphs and of tradition and monuments that fall within the phenomenon of megalithism, which characterize the extensive Ligurian cultural environment. This work is the first of its kind in Italy, being a regional thematic archaeological map. Almost a corpus of Ligurian rock engravings and megalithic monuments, rich in a large quantity of unpublished works, it is a concrete contribution to research and at the same time a precious work of scientific dissemination: a milestone for all those who in the future intend to deepen their knowledge of the heritage paleo-iconographic and Ligurian megalithic, for researchers, scholars, enthusiasts and intelligent hikers.
