“Block me!”, the battle cry of the climber who hangs himself, is the title of this book. Because we all know what it means to shout it euphorically under the belay, but unfortunately many, too many times we have shouted it many meters below, with our forearm throbbing and an eye turned to the next bolt. The subtitle, The art of disclimbing, is intended as a tribute to the illustrious Caruso (hoping he doesn't take offence), but in truth there is very little in the manual and those looking for solution formulas, the recipe for the 8th, might be taken aback . The book begins with irony from the common madness of the average climber (primarily that of the author), from his manias, oddities and obsessions. Block me! it is a careful exploration of the world of the crag and its bizarre dynamics, conducted by a climber, not a top climber, for climbers, who are also not very top, and revolves around the question that everyone has asked themselves at least once : “Who makes me do it? Wasn't it better to stay at home?". And the answer is: no!
